Krause Features Some of Its Best Work With 4.25" Pop Up Cube Mailer
With today’s habit of rapidly consuming content, then throwing or filing it away, the word “longevity” can sometimes seem almost laughable to a marketer. People devour content at such a high rate that it begs the question: How can you create lasting content that will get continued results for a greater length of time?
At Krause, an Arizona-based architecture firm, the answer to this question was Red Paper Plane. The company, which is known for its exceptional design service, sought to get back to its roots by creating an in-house design that would last well beyond the 2015 holiday season.
“The twist was to take what we learned from our past and bring it in to create an in-house design,” said Matthew Krause, marketing coordinator at the firm, via email. “I found the physical card designs from RedPaperPlane.com very unique. Adding the ability to customize the cards was the edge we were looking for.”
Together, the team chose the 4.25” Pop Up Cube. It featured some of Krause’s best works over the past few years and included a pop-box that jumps out at you, indicating “We think outside the box”. Also included was the firm’s gratification for the recipient and a thanks for their continued support.
According to Matthew, the intent of the mailer was to entice recipients to hire Krause without being overly salesy. And, boy, did it deliver.
Not only did the firm see a 13.9% reply rate on their piece, but it also received a marketing communications award from the Society for Marketing Professional Services for its design and concept.
“The cards turned out exactly how I expected them to,” Matthew said. “It did not look like any other card you would normally receive in the mail, especially during a very congested holiday.
“Numerous clients commented that they looked forward to working with us in 2017. Goal met!”
