Matilda Jackson, Senior Graphic Designer at Lion, designed a recent project with Red Paper Plane to differentiate her company from their competitors. The particular promotion was a targeted invitation designed to encourage fire department representatives to attend the grand opening of Lion’s new Turnout Gear Cleaning, Repair and Maintenance Center.

“We weren’t looking for high numbers of attendees,” Jackson said. “Instead, we were hoping that those most interested in our services would attend.”

Lion, who discovered Red Paper Plane via a design magazine awhile back, has worked with us before on two other event invitations. This time around, Matilda and her team decided to craft their invitation using the Large Exploding Page design found on redpaperplane.com.

“The Exploding Page promotion was used as a grand opening invitation. Out of about 40 invitations sent out to prospects, 10 attended. However, those 10 were all motivated purchasers,” Jackson said. “The promotion turned out very well and was well-received by recipients. Several folks mentioned that they liked that it was ‘different’.”
