RIMS Increases Attendance By Standing Out In the Mail
Can you use paper to start a revolution?
According to Shauntay Jones, Marketing Manager for the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the answer is yes.
“With our inaugural Cyber Risk Forum, the designer Joe Ricci and I had discussed doing a different mailer than our usual postcard or booklet, especially since cyber is a hot topic in the risk management field,” Shauntay said via email. “His event design was dramatic; we wanted a piece that would showcase that and stand out in the mail. [Red Paper Plane’s] Tablet Flapper seemed like a natural match.”
RIMS, which had worked with us once before on an Extendo mailer, knew Red Paper Plane could deliver.
“Our piece was a little complex,” Shauntay said. “We ultimately opted to have RedPaperPlane.com’s creative team check our files and match them up exactly, which they did very well.
“The customer service experience was great.”
Intending to increase the number of registrants at their event, the RIMS team distributed about 1,900 Tablet Flappers to members who live in states near the event location. The extra pieces were distributed at a tradeshow. Though the event is still three weeks away, Shauntay said they’re on target to reach their goal amount of registrants.
“We were very pleased with the end result,” Shauntay said. “We had worked with RedPaperPlane.com before so we knew the final piece would be high quality. We actually had a recipient who works at a large retail corporation reach out to us to find out who did the mailer because they want to do one.”
