She first learned of RedPaperPlane.com when she received some samples in the mail. This prompted her to look up the company online and test out the variety of formats available. “The products they were offering were different and interactive,” she said in an email. “I thought The Flapper® would be a perfect fit for my need to create a mini portfolio. I also like the fact that Red Paper Plane provides templates for the different formats available.”
As a graphic designer, herself, Lucy had a specific vision for the piece. Its purpose was to promote a giveaway for a senior student’s graphic design exhibition. The Flapper®, an interactive piece which reveals four panels of messaging, had everything she was looking for.
After downloading the template, she customized it to fit her needs, then uploaded the final PDF to the website. She said she loved the ease of the Red Paper Plane website and the fact that she
could see an interactive proof of her piece immediately.
“My objective was to give people something that they will remember me by that is more than a postcard or flyer,” she said. “I would say The Flapper® was very successful in achieving this. The visitors to the show were amazed by The Flapper® and how it had a continuous fold that revealed something different each time.”
