Trade Show Promo That Gets You Noticed

“Don’t Ditch My Promo!”

When developing marketing materials for a trade show, how do you stand out? How do you ensure that your information won’t get tossed as soon as your booth visitors get back to the hotel? Give them something they want to hang onto.

This is why Points Group (Morristown, NJ), a full-service consulting and marketing firm specializing in the healthcare industry, turned to Red Paper Plane.

For this year’s promotion, Points Group chose the Flapper, a 7" x 5” format that offers a series of “endless folds” to gradually reveal information as the piece is handled.

Not only is the Flapper hard to put down once you start unfolding, but it is just as hard to throw away. “At shows like this, people get a ton of papers and cards. They’ll grab something free on the table, but then it goes into the pile in the bag with everything else,” says Karen Thomas, design director for Points. “With this, it’s like, ‘Whoa, this is cool. Where did you get this?’”

Thomas also likes that, as the prospect “moves” through the Flapper, it mirrors how clients move through a marketer’s sales funnel. This makes the Flapper not only great for self-promotion, but it gives their clients and prospects ideas for their own marketing. “A lot of our clients are visual people,” Thomas says. “When they see how this works, they often want to do one for themselves.”

Thomas found the RPP downloadable templates extremely easy to work with and was impressed with the responsiveness of the RPP team. “Whenever we had questions, we got a response right away,” she says. “They really went out of their way to help us. This was a really fun project to work on.”

Not only has Points Group received client interest from the promotion, they also won an In House Design award from Graphic Design USA.
