Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about our Z-Fold holiday greeting cards? We've compiled answers to common questions about how they work, customization options, pricing, production timelines, mailing services, and artwork proofs.

How Do Z-Fold Greeting Cards Work?

Z-Fold greeting cards fold into three connected panels that ship flat and open into a standing, three-dimensional display. As the panels unfold, a die-cut shape such as a lantern, snowflake, star, or tree sits suspended between them and spins into a kinetic symbol of the season. The spinner designs open to about 17.6 inches wide from a closed size of 6.625 by 4.875 inches. That spinning motion sets this style apart from the flat and pop-up designs in our holiday greeting card lineup.

Can I Add My Company Logo And Message To A Spinner Holiday Card?

Yes, you can add your company logo and a custom message to a spinner holiday card. The Personalize It option starts with a professionally designed card and lets you add your logo and greeting, so the card keeps its engineered structure while carrying your branding.

Can You Design A Completely Custom Holiday Card For Us?

Yes, we design completely custom holiday cards through our Create It option, where you can modify the shapes and structure of an existing format or work with our paper engineers to build something entirely new. If you only need to change the graphics, colors, and messaging on an existing spinner, the Design It option covers that lighter level of customization. You can see the fully custom builds on our custom holiday card creations page.

How Much Do Z-Fold Holiday Cards Cost?

The cost of Z-Fold holiday cards depends on the quantity you order and the level of customization you choose. Pricing is tiered by quantity, so the per-card rate steps down at each volume break, and a buyer mailing to a wide list usually lands well below the small-order rate for the same card. The three customization levels (Personalize It, Design It, and Create It) each have a different price. Personalize It and Design It show instant per-card pricing online at each quantity. A Create It custom build is quoted once the structure is agreed.

What Is The Minimum Order Quantity For Custom Holiday Cards?

There is no bulk minimum for these custom holiday cards. Every product page prices small runs directly. The production schedule starts at a single piece, and the 1,000-piece figure shown on the listing is where volume pricing is displayed, not the smallest run we produce. If you want to hold the finished piece before committing, single units are also available as free samples.

How Long Does It Take To Produce And Mail A Custom Holiday Card Order?

Producing a custom holiday card order typically takes 3 to 4 business days for a single piece, up to 15 to 20 business days for the largest listed runs of 10,000 to 25,000, depending on quantity and customization. If you have us mail the cards for you, add that time on top. Because production time grows with order size, start a large run several weeks before your mail date so both production and postal transit fit your timeline.

Will A Dimensional Card Hold Up In The Mail?

Yes, a dimensional card holds up in the mail because it travels flat inside its envelope and only springs open when the recipient unfolds it, so the moving die-cut piece is never exposed in transit. The cards print on heavy cover stock, 100# Mohawk Superfine on most designs, and each one is hand-assembled and quality-checked before it ships. Most spinner designs include blank A7 envelopes.

Can You Mail The Cards Directly To Our Recipients?

Yes, we can mail the cards directly to your recipients through an optional mailing service. We insert each card into a USPS-approved envelope, print and affix address labels from your list, and send the batch to the mail, with postage billed separately from the card order. Plan for an extra 2 to 7 business days when you use it.

Can I See A Proof Before The Cards Are Printed?

Yes, you see a proof before any cards are printed. After you upload your artwork online via the Personalize It or Design It path, you can review the card as an interactive 3D proof showing how the panels and spinning element will look once assembled. You can share that proof for team sign-off before the order goes into production.
